  1. To make the marinade for the satee put in the container of an electric blender:

  2. 1 large onion, coarsely chopped 2 cloves of garlic

  3. Juice of 2 lemons

  4. 2Tbs. of sugar 1 cup of soy sauce

  5. 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. ground coriander for beef (or chicken) or 1 tsp. ground ginger for pork

  6. 1 cup of oil

  7. Blend thoroughly and pour over:

  8. 5 lbs. of beef or pork tenderloin, cubed

  9. DO NOT marinate overnight, but only for a few hours.

  10. Place the meat on: 36 skewers

  11. Blend well:

  12. 1 cup of oil

  13. 2 Tbs. Soy sauce

  14. Pour into a large shallow dish.

  15. To keep meat from becoming dry, roll each skewer in seasoned oil before frying.

  16. Satee is also excellent when barbecued.
